Thank you Mark for expressing the concerns of many writers here on Medium.

Punishing prolific writers just doesn't make any sense. Some people are not capable of writing a decent story even if they have nothing else to do and some can write 1 quality article per day even if they have a job and raise a family. And some have made Medium the center of their online business and are now seeing their earnings drop significantly.

I write about cryptocurrency and there are new things happening every day so I can't publish 1 article per week. As Mark pointed out, tech articles get less engagement than deep emotional/philosophical stories.

I fell in love with Medium when I discovered it years ago and I definitely don't want to leave, but this new change is disheartening as it's ruining many months (and years for some writers) of hard work. I do hope our voice is heard.
